The new once are very safe. And when you can cook a roast to "falling apart perfection" in just about an hour, it's well worth.

Heidi asked if recipes for pressure cookers were adaptable. Well, honestly, I'm not sure. I have only used this one brand given to me by my mil and haven't tried too many things - just a few basics. I did have a problem one time where something burned (I think it was a roast). But I think my sauce was too thick and now I put down a layer of carrots, onions and celery to keep my main dish from just heavily sitting right on top of the heat. The trick is to raise the temp really high, really fast for a short period of time, then bring it down and let it simmer, then it finishes off as the steam releases slowly before you finally open it.

C'mon, you can do it!Lori ~ The Simple Life at Homehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01917249803574298362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8388835653201310961.post-88952698489982896492007-09-04T08:20:00.000+03:002007-09-04T08:20:00.000+03:00Popped in to read your menus. I also had this huge fear and I knew it wouldn't fit a whole meal for the size my family was then.

I lost a lot of sleep, the other night, trying to think where it is.. and who knows now if I can find the book..

Are most recipes adaptable, no matter what PC you have? Thanks for mentioning it.. after all that lost sleep.. I had forgotten about it again.. *sigh*
~HeidiCarolinaDreamzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01486119813066063409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8388835653201310961.post-42232587758245748202007-09-04T05:22:00.000+03:002007-09-04T05:22:00.000+03:00great menu..what's bezella? can you post the recip...great menu..what's bezella? can you post the recipe?

I am with you on the crock, my friend re-intorduced me to the pressure cooker so now I want one..we always had pork roast & cabbage in ours growing up!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10870340599617089626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8388835653201310961.post-52808112397157270852007-09-03T18:20:00.000+03:002007-09-03T18:20:00.000+03:00I love my crockpot, too. We start school this week too, so my menu is pretty simple.

For special occasions we usually make the honoree's favorite dish and make sure they have a special cake, too. I love crepes! I have even filled them with lasagna filling and made manicotti.

Have a great week!
Lisateachermomof2https://www.blogger.com/profile/06592241622906700490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8388835653201310961.post-8542786618239643842007-09-03T14:49:00.000+03:002007-09-03T14:49:00.000+03:00Everything sounds absolutely delicious - I wish I ...Everything sounds absolutely delicious - I wish I could come eat at your house this week!

Have a great week!Christihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17732288654277612085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8388835653201310961.post-76551818503465783842007-09-03T09:25:00.000+03:002007-09-03T09:25:00.000+03:00We start school this week, too, so I am also tryin...We start school this week, too, so I am also trying to keep things simple.

Enjoy your week!An Ordinary Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497066145696617241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8388835653201310961.post-67000790224962122262007-09-03T08:39:00.000+03:002007-09-03T08:39:00.000+03:00what a delicious meal plan this week!!
