Decorating The Simple Life

Well, since I'm all done decorating my home, I was kind of itching for something else to add a Christmas-y touch to. So I've got a new look here for the Christmas season. I really love the simplicity of the layout, which I found at Final Sense.

I'll be working on rebuilding my blogroll over the next few days. If you are a regular reader here and would like to be included, please let me know. I always love to get to know the people who visit. C'mon, you can de-lurk just this once!!

I may or may not return to the old layout once Christmas is over. The beige was beginning to wear on me. Anyone have any opinions? Keep it or go for something new?

I liked the beige with the camels because it gave me a (stereotypical?) sense of where you are living. And it's not like anything else I've seen on other blogs.

You and I aren't new anymore, but you could still gladly add me to your updated blogroll!!

I like this Christmas layout ~ very clean but festive.

I say if you are going to change backgrounds after Christmas, then find something else Middle Eastern. The expatriate aspect of your life is fascinating to the rest of us!

I love the new decoration! I thought the camels were pretty cool, too, but it's nice to change things up on occasion.

I like them both. Christmas is my favorite time of year, so I love the festive-ness (did I just make that up?) of this. But I really loved the camels. It was beautiful and simple and serene to me. Not to mention unique. It always reminded me of the three wise men coming to visit the Christ-child.

I always enjoy visiting your blog. Please include me in your blogroll if you would. I think the new look is perfect for Christmas time. But I have to agree with Melissa. The camels seemed to represent your new life in the Mid East.

I'm glad you had a good trip to the US and that you're safely home. Many blessings to you and your family this Christmas.

I guess it depends on whether or not you get enough beige in everyday living. I have this impression that it is very beige in Doha, in which case, I think I would like some color. (It is sort of "dust colored" at my house right now. I don't think color will fix it though. perhaps vacuuming might help.)

Glad you are home safe and sound. How is everybody adjusting?

Okay since you asked I'll de-lurk this one time! I think I found your blog through Menu Plan Monday. I like the new layout, almost wasn't sure it was you!
