Ok, I'm Ready to Go Home Now

It's been great; it really has.  But I'm ready to go back to my home in Doha and live our quiet little life.

I'm the kind of girl who needs a little "me" time.  KWIM?  Not to do anything special, but just time to be alone and recuperate.  That's not happening here.  With such a big family - 20 when everyone is around - you are never alone.  Everything is decided by committee, requiring innumerable phone calls back and forth.

We aren't seeing anything interesting because we spend our entire days negotiating who is cooking and where they are cooking it.  It's what life revolves around in this family, I swear!

Then when you add on the majority of conversations are in Arabic, well, it's kind of worn on me now.

Being with family is great, but one month is way too long to stay with your in-laws, I guess.  My ever wise Hubby, who is now here with us, encourages me to remember that I am salt and light here to his family.  Keeping the right perspective helps.

I'll be back in Doha on the 17th and will be back to a regular posting schedule.

Yeah, I'd say a month would be too long!

Hubby is wise... and right!

I hope you enjoy the last two weeks, as much as you can!

Hang in there, Lori. Your time spent together is precious. Dh is correct. What a light you are.

Oh my. A month. Yeah, I can't see that working too well for me either. Your hubby is right though, as tough as it might be to remember his wisdom and put it into practise in the next two weeks!

We go camping once or twice a year with my in-laws (about 20 of us)for a weekend and that's plenty for me. And we speak the same language.

I'm selfishly waiting for you to get back home and start this book study! I need all the help I can get.

I love visiting, but I would have never made it this long. I really have to have alone time or I get cranky. Try to enjoy your last couple of weeks!

In the meantime, if you get the chance, come join the fun!

Hey babe,

Hang in there, dear girl! I know you are bringing great enjoyment to Ib's family. I can only imagine how wearing it must be, though. Seriously, you should be sainted, at least a little!

The 17th will be here before you know it. But till then, try and make a list of positive and uplifting things you can do and say to your inlaws. Think of ways to bless them these last few days and let them know how much you appreciate their hospitality. You will feel so much better dear one. :)

God Bless You!

Dawn
